Coach Privacy Policy

What FastBowlingLab Coach and the FastBowlingLab coach area collect from coaches, what athletes can see, and how you get rid of it.

1. The short version

This policy covers you when you use FastBowlingLab as a coach: the FastBowlingLab Coach app for iPhone and Android, and the coach area on the web. Your coach account is an ordinary FastBowlingLab account, so the general FastBowlingLab Privacy Policy also applies to it. This page explains what is different about coaching.

Your public profile shows only what our team has reviewed and approved. Your payment details and meeting links are private and go only to an athlete who has a booking with you. We do not sell your data, and you can delete your account and coach profile yourself at any time, in the app.

2. Who is responsible for your data

Gobind Sharma, an individual developer trading as FastBowlingLab, is the data fiduciary under Indian law and the data controller where another law uses that term. Our correspondence address is Misa, Nagaon, Assam, India. Privacy questions and requests go to support@fastbowlinglab.com.

When an athlete shares their analysis or training log with you, you decide how to use it in your coaching. Section 7 sets out what you may and may not do with it.

3. What we collect from coaches

  • Account data: your name, email address or phone number. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the basic profile they release to us.
  • Your coach profile: display name, photo, city, the languages you coach in, specialties, years of experience, qualifications and your biography.
  • Verification documents: certificates or other evidence you upload so we can check your qualifications, plus our reviewers’ decisions and notes on your application.
  • Offers and booking setup: your prices and currency, weekly availability, time zone, buffer and notice rules, and your cancellation terms.
  • Payment details: the bank account (account holder, account number and IFSC) and/or UPI ID and QR code you give so athletes can pay you directly. We do not process these payments.
  • Conversations and bookings: the messages you exchange with athletes, proposed and confirmed session times, meeting links, your private session notes, the follow-up you write for an athlete, whether you marked a session paid, and cancellations and their reasons.
  • Routines: the routine templates you build and the routines you send to athletes.
  • Reviews: the reviews athletes write about sessions with you, your public replies, and your average rating.
  • Usage and technical data: sign-ins, actions taken in the product, your device’s push-notification token, and error and performance diagnostics. We use this to run the service and keep it working.

The FastBowlingLab Coach app asks for access to your photo library only when you choose a profile photo or a payment QR code, and only for the picture you pick; verification documents come from the files you choose. It does not use your camera, microphone, location or contacts, and it does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

4. What athletes can see

  • Every signed-in FastBowlingLab user can see your listing once it is approved, you have published it and at least one offer is switched on: the reviewed profile fields above, your prices, your next available time, your typical reply time, your rating and your published reviews and replies. Changes to your name, photo, specialties, experience or qualifications appear only after we approve them again.
  • An athlete you are talking to sees the messages and booking proposals in that conversation.
  • An athlete with a confirmed booking sees that booking’s meeting link while it is confirmed, and your payment details while it is confirmed or completed. Neither is shown once the booking is cancelled, and neither ever appears in a list, a notification or the directory.
  • Never shown to athletes: your verification documents, our reviewers’ notes, your private session notes, your email address and your phone number.

Reviewers are shown by first name only. Notifications about a new message or booking never include the text of the message.

5. Why we use it

  • to run your coach account, review your application and list your profile, and to let athletes find, message and book you;
  • to send the notifications you rely on — new enquiries, replies, bookings, reminders and reviews;
  • with your consent where the law requires it, for example push notifications, which you can switch off;
  • to keep the platform safe: checking qualifications, investigating reports, enforcing the Coach Terms and preventing fraud or misuse;
  • to comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

6. Who processes it

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the providers that run the service, for the purposes below:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS): hosting, the PostgreSQL database, private file storage for photos, documents and QR codes, encrypted backups and operational logs, in the Mumbai region;
  • Google Gemini: when you use the optional writing assistant, the profile facts and draft biography, or the routine and request, you ask it to work on. It does not receive your documents, payment details or conversations;
  • Apple and Google: Sign in with Apple and Google sign-in, when you choose them;
  • Resend: email such as verification codes, password resets and coaching notifications;
  • Expo, Apple and Google: delivery of push notifications to your device when you enable them;
  • Sentry and Grafana Cloud: error, performance, trace and log diagnostics.

We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or to establish or defend legal claims.

7. Athlete data you receive

Athletes can choose to share their own data with you. You receive it to coach that athlete, and for no other purpose.

  • A shared analysis gives you that athlete's report, training plan, measurements, overlay video and key frames. It never includes their raw clips. Sharing an analysis is permanent unless the analysis or either account is deleted. We record each time you open it.
  • Access to an athlete's training log can be switched off by the athlete at any time, and stops on your next request.
  • You must not copy athlete data out of the service, show it to anyone else, or use it to contact, market to or profile the athlete outside your coaching relationship.
  • While your account is suspended, you cannot open anything athletes have shared with you.

8. Your conversations

A conversation is visible to its two people: you and the athlete. Our admin tools do not show conversations. We look at one only when needed to investigate a problem reported to us, keep someone safe or meet a legal obligation, and we do not use your messages for advertising or to train models.

Either side can block the other, which closes the conversation for both. Report a problem from the app; it gives you a reference code to send to us.

9. Where it is held

The live database and file storage are hosted in AWS’s Mumbai region. Providers such as Google, Apple, Resend, Expo, Sentry and Grafana may process the limited data they receive outside India. We use the contractual and other safeguards that applicable law requires for those transfers.

10. How long we keep it

  • Your coach profile, documents, offers, booking setup, routines and reviews are kept while your account exists.
  • Uploads you started but never saved are removed automatically after a short time.
  • When you replace a profile photo or payment QR code, the old file is deleted once your public listing no longer shows it.
  • Encrypted database backups rotate after 7 days, and AWS application logs are kept for 7 days. A deleted record may stay inside a backup until that backup expires, and cannot be reached through the product.
  • We keep a minimal record of our approval decisions and moderation actions for security and legal claims.

11. Deleting your account

Delete your account from Settings in the FastBowlingLab Coach app, or from settings in the athlete app or the coach area on the web. It is permanent. See the account deletion guide for the general steps. For coaches:

  • Deleted: your coach profile and photo, your verification documents, your offers, booking setup and payment details, your routine templates, the routines you sent that are still waiting for an answer, and the reviews athletes wrote about you together with your replies.
  • Your confirmed upcoming bookings are cancelled, and the athletes are told.
  • Athletes keep their side of the record: the conversation, the messages you sent and their past bookings remain for them, shown as from “Deleted account”. Your name, email and account id are removed from all of it, and so are your session notes, follow-ups, cancellation reasons and terms.
  • A routine an athlete already accepted is theirs and stays in their training log.
  • Your access to everything athletes shared with you ends.

12. Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict or delete your data, to object to processing, and to complain to your data-protection authority. You can edit your profile, offers and payment details yourself in the coach area or the app. For anything else, write to us and we will answer within the time the law allows. We will never charge you for exercising a right or treat you differently for it.

13. Security

Access is checked on every request. Verification documents, payment QR codes and other stored files are reachable only through short-lived signed links, and payment details are held apart from anything athletes can browse. Traffic is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but we will tell you promptly if a breach affects you.

14. Coaches must be adults

The coach area is for adults only. You must be at least 18 to apply as a coach. If we learn that a coach profile belongs to someone under 18, we will remove it.

15. Changes and contact

We will update this page when what we do changes, and will give notice of anything material before it takes effect. Reach us about privacy at support@fastbowlinglab.com, or by post at Misa, Nagaon, Assam, India.
